Parking

Parking at Rugby Central is now simpler, faster and greener, powered by Hozah, a ticketless parking payment system designed to remove stress and queues for drivers. Using automated number plate recognition technology (ANPR) and an app-free permit system, Autopay, registered visitors will be able to drive in and out of the car park without the need for a ticket.

Rugby Central has an award-winning car park, signposted on all major routes into the town. Please view our map to locate the car park.

The car park has a height restriction of 1 metre 92 cm or 6ft 3in.

FAQ

What are the changes at the car park?

  • The changes are designed to reflect a modern approach to parking and will see the car park become barrierless, ticketless and largely cashless.
  • Using number plate recognition technology (ANPR) and an app-free permit system, registered visitors will be able to drive in and out of the car park without the need for a ticket.
  • We have teamed up with Hozah – the UK’s leading provider of automated parking – to let visitors register their car and card details just once online to enjoy cashless, ticketless parking every time they visit.

Why are you making these changes?

  • The new system is a much more modern, greener and efficient approach to parking, and brings us in line with many other car parks offering barrierless, ticketless and cashless parking.

Are the opening times changing?

  • Car park times are staying the same, but we're introducing a £10 overnight charge - so people can park overnight but can only get the car out when it re-opens.

Are the prices changing?

  • Prices are staying the same except for the introduction of that £10 overnight charge.
  • Quarterly Season Tickets (£100) and Yearly Season Tickets (£350) will be available soon.

When will the payment be taken from my account?

  • Payment will never be taken until you have actually visited the centre and the ANPR system has recognised that your car has left the car park.

Who is Hozah?

  • Hozah is the UK’s leading provider of automated parking and has provided similar systems for other shopping centres, football clubs and universities.

If there are no barriers, how does the car park know when it’s full?

  • The capacity of the car park is closely monitored, and when it’s full, the entry will be closed by members of the team to allow the appropriate number of cars to exit before it's reopened.
