Our Cancer Support Centre is open to the public six days a week with a small shop front selling items crafted or made by local sellers, including jewellery, knitwear and crochet items, books by local children’s author Sam Langley-Swain, and other beautiful hand crafted items at a range of prices, suitable for gifts. We also sell good quality secondhand; books, children’s toys, games and puzzles. We have a community café with a children’s play area and large range of games, puzzles and books to use during your visit with us.
Every day in the UK around 11 children and young people find out they have cancer. For their families, the diagnosis can be life changing. At Shine a Light, we help families get through these challenging times by providing a range of vital support services and an understanding shoulder to lean on. We support families of children and young people up to the age of 24, for as long as they need us.
We provide counselling and play therapy for any adult or child affected by cancer across Coventry and Warwickshire.Within our new cancer support centre we are extending the range of support offered to adults and their families who are affected by cancer as well. If you live in the Coventry and Warwickshire area and are affected by cancer, we are here for you.
